DUSA’s Student Survival Centre is a free one-stop shop for any student who is finding it hard financially or needing emergency supplies.

Your Survival Centres are located at DUSA in Burwood (Building A) and in Waurn Ponds (Level 1, Fred Jevons Building JB). You can also access these survival services at Warrnambool Campus (Building H2-3).

Students in need of a helping hand are welcome to collect items, no questions asked. Just pop in and a Student Advocate or DUSA receptionist can give you access to a range of items including: 

  • basic food items
  • hygiene packs (toothbrush, toothpaste, washing detergent, toilet paper, soap)
  • shavers and shaving cream
  • feminine hygiene products
  • sexual health products
  • warm winter wear
  • underwear
  • towels
  • sleeping bags and swags
  • plates, cups, cutlery and other household items

At DUSA we know students can find themselves in difficult times and we are here to help in any way we can. The Survival Centres are a significant addition to our student services and is open to any student regardless of their circumstances or background. You are always welcome.
