Barista Coffee & Responsible Service Food (Dual Program)

Thought about working in a cafe?  This beginners course is designed for people looking to enter the hospitality industry that require basic skills training in coffee. Not only will you learn the fundatmentals to making coffee but you will also learn Coffee Art and obtain your responsible food handlers certificate.  

Please note the RSF component of this course is completed online only and the practical component will be assessed during the Barista course. You will be send the learning resource and assessment 1 - 2 weeks prior to your course.

CPR

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and CPR reaccreditation. The course will be provided in a classroom using a face to face format and no pre-course reading is required. This 3 hour course will be held on two dates.

First Aid (Level 1)

The Level 1 First Aid course covers training in: CPR, DRABCD (care of an unconscious person) and measures to take in the case of a severe allergic reaction.  A large number of employers require their employees to hold this certificate.

First Aid (Level 2)

Complete your level 2 First Aid through training in: CPR, allergic reactions, bleeding control, choking and airway obstruction, fractures, sprains and strains, respiratory distress, asthma, shock management and much more (Pre-course workbook required). This course will be held on two dates.

Responsible Service Alcohol (RSA)

Do you want to work in a bar? Learn to serve alcohol in a responsible manner in compliance with relevant liquor legislation. This very popular 4 hour course will be held on two dates.

Do you want to work in hospitality, retail, child care, events, catering etc? Learn the essentials of food hygiene practices and legislation and obtain your certificate in 'Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety'.

Certificate IV Leadership & Management

 
This course reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers. The course is perfect for club executives or those aspiring to work in leadership and management. Strengthen your skills whilst completing your degree and add another qualification to your CV!
 

This course is held on Saturday mornings for 12 weeks (There will be a 1 week break during the exam period).
