Yoga

Come and join a one hour vinyasa yoga class to leave you feeling energised, calm and ready to tackle the day!

We spend much of our day sitting and hunched over a desk. Over time this can take a toll on our body, with tension building up around our shoulders, neck and hips and this can make us feel tight and lethargic.  Yoga not only works on the body to release tension, but also helps to connect with mind and spirit, helping you to let go of things that have been bothering you, so that you can feel lighter and more positive. Destress with a 1hr Yoga session on campus!

Self Defence Course ( 4 week course)

This safety awareness program, aims to introduce the positive aspects of karate as a method of self-defence.

The program places emphasis on non-violence, self-esteem & confidence building and respect for others. In a safe environment, such as university and home, we teach the importance of “defend and report”, whereby students are encouraged to protect themselves in a non-aggressive way and report issues to a person of authority. In a NON-SAFE environment where a student may be placed in a position of danger, we teach techniques that may help in a potentially damaging situation. We do this by teaching students how to break out of certain holds, pulls and even tackles in an efficient and effortless manner.

"I think that karate is a really important life skill and teaches not only practical skills, but also encourages a level of self confidence that, in itself, is the best form of self defense."
