DEAKIN STUDENTS TO GET BETTER BUS SERVICES

The Andrews Labor Government has this week has announced the addition of direct bus services between major Universities and Melbourne locations.

Deakin University students will be able to use the new service between Box Hill Station and the Burwood Deakin University Campus. The route designated 201 will operate every 20 minutes, from 7am to 10pm on University days. The route will also be open to the general public.

DUSA Student President Matthew McDonald is thrilled with the new services, After personally speaking with the Minister to lobby for the new service, we are excited to be able to offer improved access and services for our Deakin University Students.

We understand that the campus has historically been difficult to access via direct public transport services, the addition of the bus will make a major difference in the everyday lives of our students.

The new shuttles have been announced to begin on 22nd February 2016.
