University Games

As a member of Australian University Sport, DUSA can offer you an enjoyable and very rewarding university sporting experience within a fun and competitive sports program.

So be amongst the University Sport action and join a DUSA Dragons team!

How can you represent DUSA and Deakin?

All students of Deakin University must complete a DUSA Athlete History Form. Submit this form to the DUSA4U Office; you will then be notified of your chosen sport trial dates and times.

All team members must attend the sports trial in order to be selected for representation in the DUSA Dragons team.

Team Managers, Coaches and Sports Trainers Positions

DUSA are in search of Team Managers, Coaches and Sports Trainers to play an integral role in the 2008 University Sport program. We are looking for motivated and inspiring people with a passion for sport to assist in driving the DUSA Dragons team to success this year. 2008 South Challenge

Congratulations to all South Challenge Team Members who have recently returned from competing in Melbourne during the July University Break. The team lead by Team Captains - Kylie Wehner and Simon Perry had a successful and enjoyable week in Melbourne, bringing home Silver in the Women's Soccer and Bronze in the Mixed Touch Football. The DUSA Dragons Team had a strong presence on the sporting arena and the team work and friendships developed over the week are a true credit to the individuals that represented both DUSA and Deakin University.

2008 Australian University Games

The 2008 Australian University Games are fast approaching and this is your one and only opportunity to get involved in this annual Sporting Event. Sports trials will take place on the Deakin Melbourne Campus on Thursday 31st July. Transport will be available upon request for Geelong and Warrnambool students. The sport specific trials are as below.

  • 11:00am Team Meeting for the following sports in LT12: Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Beach Volleyball, Cycling, Golf, Handball, Judo, Kendo, Lawn Bowls, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Ten Pin Bowling, Volleyball and Waterpolo
  • 12:00noon Touch Football and Ultimate Frisbee - Bennettswood Oval
  • 1:00pm Women's Football and Soccer - Bennettswood Oval
  • 2:00pm Basketball - Deakin University YMCA
  • 3:00pm Netball - Deakin University YMCA
