Sexual Health & Awareness Workshop 

Let’s Talk About X with @sex.iwishyouknew

Want to know more about sex but feeling a little shy to ask? Why not attend this popular workshop with Euphemia from @sex.iwishyouknew, covering a range of topics from the science of pleasure and embodiment, tips to communicate your wants and needs, and various resources to support your overall mental and physical health.

• Accessing information on mental and physical health

• Learn the science of pleasure, with anatomy and neurology

• Easy practical tips on how to actually be 'embodied'

• Learn approaches to check in with yourself about your actual needs, wants, desires.

• Realising your current boundaries, and clear casual ways to communicate them, even with casual sex.

• Learning the difference between asking, taking, giving, receiving, and refusing.

• Approaches for conversations with hard and confronting asks or sharing.

• Consider the power of fantasies, and how to healthily and respectfully experience them with other people.

• Using external mirrors to consider and reflect on your sexuality and identity.

• Learn ways to create safe spaces for yourself and others when exploring emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Self Defence Course ( 4 week course) Expression of Interest

This safety awareness program, aims to introduce the positive aspects of martial arts as a method of self-defence.   The program places emphasis on non-violence, self-esteem & confidence building and respect for others. In a safe environment, such as university and home, we teach the importance of “defend and report”, whereby students are encouraged to protect themselves in a non-aggressive way and report issues to a person of authority"

Mental Health First Aid

This course provides participants with the skills to recognise common mental health problems, knowledge of possible causes or risk factors and an awareness of treatments available. Additionally, this course also provides participants with the skills in how to provide initial support to someone experiencing a mental health problem and how to take appropriate action if a crisis situation arises. ​

Mental health crises covered in this course:
- Suicidal thoughts and behaviours
- Non-suicidal self-injury
- Panic attacks
- Traumatic events
- Severe Psychotic states
- Severe effects from alcohol or other drug misuse
- Aggressive behaviours

This course will run over 2 days (Thu 26th Apr & Fri 27th Apr)
