Referencing Workshop: Online Resource

Referencing Workshop

This Trimester, DUSA and Deakin Student Life teamed up to run a "Referencing Workshop" as part of Contract Cheating Awareness Week.

The 1 hour session facilitated by Student Life aimed to equip students with a stronger knowledge base of referencing processes, and a greater understanding of Academic Integrity at Deakin.

Harvard and APA referencing techniques were explored thoroughly in the session, in addition to exentsive opportunities for student questions and answers. The session was offered on campus, and streamed online for Deakin Cloud students.

See below for full video. Presentation slides are available for download here. *please note final 2-3 slides are available via presentation only*

Further Referencing Workshops will be available in 2018 as part of DUSA Short Course programs. Visit www.dusa.org.au/calendar for more information.

Study Support

Referencing is tricky and takes time to learn, the most important message is at the end of the slide presentation. You are not alone.

The Study Support team of Writing Mentors and Language and Learning Advisers is here to help you learn more about referencing, and the details of the system you may use.

Visit Study Support here or go to the Ask Study Support tile or in the studying tab in DeakinSync for details of how to:

  • Make contact with Writing Mentors face-to-face or online
  • How to make face-to-face, phone or online appointments with a Language and Learning Adviser.
