Deakin Human Rights and Refugees Society (DHRRS) would like to invite you to attend our panel! With a focus on intersectional feminism and how sexism affects women of colour and queer people, we hope to provide an engaging and informative panel. Perhaps something to do during this extended lockdown, too? All revenues from the event will go towards Victoria Women's Trust! Ticket prices are pay what you think the panel is worth. Panellists include: Sheena Watt, a Yorta Yorta woman and the first indigenous Australia woman to represent Labor in the Parliament of Victoria Claire Rapson, Chair of the Law Reform Committee at Victorian Women Lawyers and consultant at Ernst & Young Bobbie Trower, senior manager of advocacy at Young Women’s Christian Association Aisya Zaharin, one of the Board Directors of Forcibly Displaced People Network, completing a PhD in navigating Asian values and media responsibility, and committee member of Australian GLBTIQ Multicultural Council Maria Thattil, Miss Universe Australia and social activist
