Deakin Human Rights and Refugees Society aims to provide DUSA members and Deakin students with a forum for advancing progressive solutions to human rights issues around the world, including immigration challenges, LGBTIQ+ rights, gender issues and inequality, disability and accessibility rights and issues, as well as worker’s rights. In addition to events focused around specific issues, the DHRRS will also focus on events highlighting volunteering and career opportunities related to human rights issues. So, whether you are wanting to get out and march on the streets for change or you are just interested in learning more about human rights and the issues facing the world today, the DHRRS is the club to be a part of.
