Deakin Women’s Group (DWG)

Deakin Women’s Group is a space for all students to advocate for more inclusive practices and gender equality in university life and in border society, recognising the intersection of gender bias and inequality, with many other factors. Deakin Women’s Group also aims to create a safe space for women (as well as non-binary and gender diverse people who are comfortable in a space that centres experiences of misogyny and gender-based inequality, often from the perspective of women) across Geelong, Warrnambool and Cloud Campuses to meet, discuss ideas, socialise and foster their participation in university life and culture through autonomous events.
