This course is suitable for individuals who are looking to enter the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector by arming them with the knowledge and skills to become a trainer and assessor in industry! You will learn about the latest industry practices as well as how to create, deliver and assess training. This course runs on Tuesdays for 18 sessions via Zoom with a 1 week break over the exam period.

Units of Competency

    • Design and Develop learning programs
    • Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
    • Address adult language, literacy and numeracy needs
    • Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning
    • Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace
    • Make a presentation
    • Plan assessment activities and procedures
    • Assess competence
    • Participate in assessment validation
    • Design and develop assessment tools

  • Funded (Australian citizen and doesn't hold a Cert IV or higher qual)
    - Deakin Students & Staff: $0
    - Full Fee: $1,455.30
    There are limited places available for students aged 17 – 24 whom may qualify for further funded resulting with the course cost being $291.06

    - Deakin Student Fee: $500
    - Deakin Staff and Alumni: $1000
    - Full Fee: $3,600.00
