Volunteer with us

Together we are friends and a DUSA family, who support each other whilst helping to run the best events ever!

DUSA Crew (DC) is a great way to get involved, meet new friends and enhance your university experience. It's also a great opportunity to learn a new skill you can use in your future career. DC plays a huge role in the events run by DUSA, that happen on campus. Without our volunteers, we wouldn't be able to run the events that we do!

As a DUSA Crew member you assist in planning and execution of all DUSA events that happen on campus and online. Opportunities include assisting with event set up, running activities and event pack down. Other volunteer opportunities available throughout the year include Trip Leaders, Sport Ambassadors and Virtual leaders.

DC is a volunteer position so you wouldn't be paid, however you do earn points for each shift you work, which can then be redeemed for e-gift cards. Experienced Volunteers also receive a 'Certificate of Recognition' for their hard work and continued efforts.

We look forward to welcoming you into DUSA Crew!

Trip Leaders

Love travelling and meeting new people? Why not become a trip leader? You will work alongside our tour operator and connect with Deakin students whilst also having fun on one of our exciting trips.

Some examples of trips you could lead are the Seal & Dolphin Swim, Phillip Island, Mt Buller Snow Day and Surf trip just to name a few!

Opportunities will be advertised throughout the year.

DUSA Sport

Sport Ambassadors are volunteer student leaders that help promote sport participation at Deakin. They are from all fields of study and assist with event coordination, media and communications, and sport support.

Applications to the program are now open through the DUSA sport web page.

Virtual Leaders

This opportunity will see you take students on a virtual experience. This could be a virtual trip somewhere around the world, a tour of a sports stadium, a cooking workshop or an art workshop. It is completely up to you to decide what program to deliver.

A few examples include: Central Australia Virtual Trip, Turkey Virtual Trip, Vadapav Cooking Workshop, Upcycle Workshop, Spanish Language Beginners Workshop, Origami Workshop.

Opportunities will be advertised throughout the year.
