Hello everybody!
My name is Bayden, and it brings me great pleasure to represent you as a DUSA councillor. Currently, I am studying my final year in a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences, majoring in Infection and Immunity. I intend to enter oncological research after my studies.
Commencing study straight out of high school in 2022, I was blown away by Deakin's sense of community. As an openly queer person with Autism/Aspergers, I found this very refreshing. I believe that everyone should learn in a friendly, equitable space, no matter their background, past or undecidable features. We earned our way into uni, and everyone deserves the same opportunities and experiences throughout their tuition.
As a DUSA student councillor, I aim to provide a neurodivergent voice to DUSA to support a more accessible university for all, allowing our voices to be heard. Helping improve support services for disadvantaged students is a high priority in my books, so I will not stop driving that change.
If you see me on campus feel free to say hello!
