Paulasta (Paul) Majumdar

Burwood Campus Coordinator

Hi my name is Paulasta (Paul) Majumdar

Hello everyone! I'm Paulasta (but most of you know me as Paul), and I'm thrilled to serve as your 2024 Burwood Campus Coordinator for DUSA. I'm currently in my second year of pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Deakin University's Burwood Campus. I come all the way from the city of Joy - Kolkata in India, I made the life-changing decision to move to Australia a year and a half ago to unlock my full potential.

My journey with DUSA began right from the start of my academic adventure when I eagerly volunteered for DUSA events, including Food Pantry and Chillout Trolley. Fast forward to today, and I find myself in this incredible role. I also proudly hold the position of President for the Deakin Social Club on campus, along with serving as secretary for several other clubs. To top it off, I am honoured to be a Deakin student ambassador.

Since my arrival in Australia and embarking on my studies at Deakin, my experience has been nothing short of amazing. One of the things that truly makes my heart sing is connecting with people. Now, as your DUSA Burwood Campus Coordinator, I am bubbling with excitement about ensuring that every student, regardless of their background, has the time of their lives at Deakin.

I will be leading a dedicated team of DUSA representatives, working tirelessly to bring forth successful proposals and execute fantastic projects and events. My collaboration with DUSA is focused on fostering inclusivity and creating an enjoyable atmosphere for all students. I firmly believe that small steps can lead to significant changes.

I encourage you to engage with DUSA today. Attending the various events we host is not only an excellent way to discover your interests but, most importantly, it's a whole lot of fun and a fantastic opportunity to forge lasting friendships on campus.

I can't wait to be a part of your Deakin journey and contribute to making it memorable. Let's make the most of our time at Deakin, together!

If you see me on campus, feel free to say hi to me and if you want to be a part of events and do not know where to start, I got you bestie!

Looking forward to meeting you on campus. Stay safe and keep smiling
