Our Pride Week recap

And just like that, another Pride Week at DUSA is done and dusted!

It was amazing to see the campus come alive in rainbow colours and glitter! We had a massive turnout this year and were super stoked to welcome you to our Pride Food Events on Tuesday, 5 April (Burwood & Waterfront), Wednesday, 6 April (Waurn Ponds), and to the Pride Trivia in Warrnambool on Tuesday night.

Also, there were Rainbow Cupcakes Monday morning on every campus - what a sweet way to kick off the week!

We also had a Drag Bingo (at the Piano Bar in Geelong) and a Drag Trivia event on (at Evie's in Fitzroy) - both events were super fun, filled with colourful performances and there were great prizes to be won.

The Sex Edu Workshop with Elephant Ed which we hosted online on Thursday, 7 April, was centered around the topic Consent and dealt with legalities, including the age of consent and free agreement, key elements requirements for valid consent, critical analysis of consent in the media, the importance of respecting boundaries. It also shone a light on the avenues to seek help if required.

Our Soccer Tournament happened on Friday, 8 April during Pride and was definitely exciting to watch. Huge shout out to the competing teams!

DUSA events are LGBTQIA+ friendly all year round
, not only for Pride Week. Make sure you don't miss out on our Self Care Week which is coming up from 16 May to 20 May - where heaps of relaxing events & activities await. We're looking forward to seeing you for some quality pampering as this year's theme is Treat Yourself.
