T1 Self Care Week

Our Self Care Week wrap up

From learning to cook Paella and a movie with free pizza and popcorn, DUSA's Self Care Week had it all.

As Trimester 1 came to an end, DUSA celebrated Self Care Week. It was all about taking some time out for yourself and enjoying a short break away from your studies. Students came together to relax and unwind, as they enjoyed themselves on campus, off campus and online.

SC week

Our Beats & Eats lunches on all campuses were popular with DUSA serving over 1,000 lunches to hungry students. There were plenty of partners providing great advice and freebies, live performances, DJ's, club activation's, competitions and games.

Students signed up to a wide variety of DeakinActive events during week including Yoga, Tabata, Boxing and Boot Camp. The 1,000 Step Hike was a popular option for those wishing to get those endorphins pumping, and more than 150 students turned up to enjoy a movie with free pizza and popcorn.

SC Week 2

Students embraced the opportunity to learn to cook Paella thanks to Skill-it Kitchen and our last DUSA Pantry for the trimester offered plenty of pantry staples and fresh fruit and veggies to enjoy.

Of course it wouldn't be a Self Care event without a visit from our four-legged friends from Delta Dogs at Geelong campuses and Vision Australia puppies at Burwood.

We finished the week off with the Campus Clash at Waurn Ponds with 60 students competing. Overall, it was a great week had by all.
