Hi everyone! My name is Emily Mao and I’m excited to serve as a Student Councillor for DUSA in 2025/2026!
As an international student, I started my journey at Deakin in 2024. My background really shapes how I understand student challenges, especially around settling in, finding community, and navigating uni life. As a Student Councillor, I’m here to make sure students feel heard, supported, and connected – especially anyone who’s new to Australia or still finding their place.
