As part of our T1 2020 Academic Integrity Awareness Campaign, the Student Advocacy and Support Service (SASS) developed a social media campaign called ‘Don’t make the same mistake I did’. This campaign involved messaging that was posted on our social medias and printed posters that we placed around the Deakin campuses. This Academic Integrity Awareness Campaign focused on situations that are encouraging other students not to make the same mistake that they did.

Please see below some of our social media messaging that we used for the campaign.

I was working full time during trimester 2 and I got behind with my studies. I am a Cloud student and wasn’t aware of the support that Deakin can provide. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Access support. Contact SASS for support!

I found a website which claimed to provide study assistance. I had to post one of my old assignments to this website to obtain notes for my current unit. Another student found my assignment on this website and copied it. I received an allegation of contract cheating. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Contact SASS for support!

I found the answer to one of my assignment questions on a website. I made an account with this website to view the answer and I copied it. I received an allegation of contract cheating. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Contact SASS for support!

I was looking for resources for my assignment and I came across a website that provided a snippet for the same assignment I was completing. I decided to use this in my assignment. This website turned out to be a contract cheating website and I received an allegation of a breach of academic integrity. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
