With the theme ‘Connecting Communities’, National Volunteer Week 2025 celebrates the spirit of connection and the incredible impact volunteers have in building thriving and inclusive communities. The work we do at DUSA would not be possible without the amazing efforts of our student volunteers. Whether it’s events, sports, trips or clubs – our amazing crew contribute their time and effort to creating the amazing and inclusive community we have at DUSA.
There are many volunteering opportunities at DUSA including:
DUSA Crew Event Volunteers – who support the delivery of DUSA events across all campuses – including OFest, Self Care Week, U Belong Week, Free Breakfasts, DUSA Pantry and Chill Out Trolleys.
DUSA Sports Ambassadors – who play a pivotal role in co-creating social sporting events across all campuses.
Sports Team Managers – who support the Deakin Dragons to compete at Victorian and Interstate competitions such as UniSport Nationals taking place on the Gold Cost in Sep/Oct 2025.
Trip Leaders – who co-create our fantastic tour opportunities that showcase our great state and build social connections.
DUSA Clubs & Society executives & committee – with over 100 clubs on offer, our DUSA C&S executives and their wider committees volunteer their time and efforts to create amazing events that are truly student-led.
