A big congratulations to DUSA Council Member, Vish Goswami, who has been named International Student of the Year (Regional) at the 2025 Victorian International Education Awards. Presented by Study Melbourne, these prestigious awards recognise the outstanding contributions made by Victoria’s international students, recent graduates, and industry champions.
Vish is currently pursuing a Master of Construction Management (Professional) and is an active participant in student life at Deakin’s Waurn Ponds and Waterfront campuses. Driven by the belief that “every student has the right to learn and thrive in an environment that is inclusive, diverse, and supportive”, Vish has undertaken a range of roles at DUSA including:
Vish’s recent appointment to the DUSA Council is a further opportunity for him to create meaningful change and represent the vibrant and diverse student community that we have in Geelong.
In addition to his roles at DUSA, Vish also serves as the postgraduate representative on the Deakin University Academic Board, is a member of Deakin’s Teaching and Learning Committee, and has worked as an Ambassador for DeakinTALENT.
Vish’s enthusiasm and willingness to build connections and advocate for students make him a highly worthy recipient of this award and we’re grateful for his acknowledgement of DUSA in receiving this:
