Deakin Design & Innovation Club | Speed CAD Tournament

The first DDIC Speed CAD Tournament was a successful inaugural event that brought together over 20 students for fast-paced CAD challenges, collaboration, and competition.

Hosted by the Deakin Design and Innovation Club, the event showcased its goal of extending design, engineering, and innovation learning beyond the classroom.

Participants competed in high-pressure modelling rounds while also engaging in networking and informal collaboration, all within a high-energy atmosphere. The tournament was supported by the DES and the wider Deakin community, marking a strong foundation for future DDIC events.

Deakin Commerce Society | DCS Alumni Networking Evening

The Deakin Commerce Society Alumni Networking Evening 2026 brought together 75 students, alumni, and representatives from the Faculty of Business and Law for an evening of professional networking and career development.

Hosted by the Deakin Commerce Society at the Oxford Scholar Bar, the informal setting encouraged relaxed conversations and meaningful connections across finance, investments, property, and law.

The event strengthened ties between students and graduates, increased alumni engagement, and provided valuable industry insights. Overall, it enhanced professional development opportunities and reinforced the society’s commitment to building strong networks within the Deakin community.
