We’re happy to announce joint winners for September’s Club Event of the Month!
Congratulations to Deakin Tabletop Society from Burwood for The Ultimate Deakin Game Night and to Deakin Students' Criminology Society from Geelong for their DSCS x SCFS Escape Room Collaboration. Read on below to learn more about both events.
Deakin Tabletop Society | The Ultimate Deakin Game Night
Deakin Tabletop Society (DTS) is all about bringing people together through tabletop games (“if it includes dice, cards or just any board game, we will play it”). The Ultimate Deakin Game Night is the biggest event DTS has run to date and brought together 19 DUSA clubs for a night of games, pizza and socialising.
The event was a sellout and a great chance for DTS to introduce more people to the club while showcasing the many tabletop games they have on offer - from card, dice and board games to tabletop roleplay and drawing games!
Deakin Students’ Criminology Society | DSCS x SCFS Escape Room Collaboration
This event was held by the Deakin Students’ Criminology Society (DSCS) in collaboration with the Swinburne Crimes and Forensics Society (SCFS). Groups made up of students from both universities came together to complete thought-provoking escape rooms to foster teamwork, independence and problem-solving skills. After completing the escape rooms, attendees returned to the Swinburne University campus for a relaxed evening of games and socialising.
The event was a big success and provided plenty of networking opportunities for those attending – whether it was working together to crack codes or just kicking back afterwards for games and a laugh.
DUSA has over 100 clubs across all campuses. It’s a great way to get involved in student life and meet people who share the same interests as you. You can learn more about DUSA clubs HERE.
Thanks to Optus – proud sponsor of the DUSA Club Event of The Month.
